My two cents:
Located at a neighbourhood mall in a corner of Woodlands is Two Plus One Creamery, the latest indie ice cream parlour to hit the North district and provide all Woodlanders with a sweet cooling treat!
They offer charcoal waffles — another one of those current food trends — but there was nothing spectacular about its taste that deserves a recommendation. So if you are looking for a waffle, just go with the normal one and save the dollar!
As for the ice cream, an interesting array of flavours that is up for your choice. I hardly see flavours such as "Cotton Candy Bubblegum" or "Horlick". I have tried a couple of flavours now but I would say that I am still a sucker for classic flavours like "Hazelnut Rocher" and "Golden Vanilla".
The ice cream served is fresh and sufficiently creamy, but I find that it lacked of a certain element which would have made it stand out more and have a character of its own? For now, the ice cream is just... okay lor!
Two Plus One Creamery is a great place to go if you live in the North and are craving for some fresh ice cream and waffles, but don't have too high of an expectation for now. The ice cream parlour is still fairly new so I am expecting more improvements over its recipe as time goes by.
For the service and venue, I give it two big thumbs up as the servers are friendly and the place was cosy! Great for a nice gathering with family and friends.
Do note that the ice cream parlour only accepts cash payment. If you are short of that, don't fret because there is an ATM machine right across the dessert shop, next to NTUC Fairprice Finest!
Oh yes, one more thing. The neighbourhood mall (The Woodgrove) where the ice cream parlour is situated at is not very accessible. You can choose to walk either 20 minutes from Woodlands MRT Station, or take bus 912 from the Woodlands Bus Interchange and alight at the entrance of 'The Woodgrove'.
