Say no evil, hear no evil, TOUCH no evil

After a tiring day of work, I came home, sat down infront of the television for a little entertainment and relaxation, and as you know how our local tv is dominated by advertisements, an advertisement flashed across my televsion screen and I realised something really amusing...

There is an old joke that..

Hello Kitty has no mouth.

Doraemon has no ears.

Well, here is something new (to me, at the very least).

Mr. Bean has no hands.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Just what I needed after a long day of work. A hearty laughter!

And I thought hello new shoes, byebye them blues.

Hey, I put some new shoes on, and suddenly everything is right. I said, hey, I put some new shoes on and everybody's smiling, it's so inviting. Oh, short on money, but long on time, slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine, and I'm running late, and I don't need an excuse...

Cause I'm wearing my brand new shoes.

Errr just in case you are wondering, this entry isn't gonna be about shoes even though I would love to spam an entry filled with pictures of shoes that I wish I could get my hands on. It is a pity though that my wallet isn't as big as my desires are :(

I should probably change the title of this entry to "Another patronizing entry" or "Another random entry", but oh well, the current title seems more fetch. Heh!

Now, on to more serious matters which actually aren't as serious as I am making them sound to be... *ahem*

On the 4th of March, after receiving my A level results and then going out with my girlfriends — Wanlin and Sujean — to Kuishinbo at Suntec City for an awesome dinner (salivating photos of my amazing dinner will be uploaded at a later date as my phone died halfway through the dinner and thus pictures of the second half of my scrumptious dinner were taken with sujean's phone instead) and a few hours of walking around Suntec City and Marina Square, I finally arrived home just a minute before the clock stroked twelve (I forgot that I had fullshift the next day, omfg!), went into my room and through the darkness, I saw something unfamiliar sitting on my table. I switched on the lights to get a better look and I nearly cried.

*sniff* Can anything be more touching than this? I love you too, mom and dad!

In case you are wondering, inside that blue box is a Ferrero Rocher. I still have not eaten it yet. I can't bear to. I think I might keep it in the box till either the chocolate goes bad or ants start swarming up my table.

My favourite liquor.

This is the smaller version which is only 200ml. The larger version was opened and was drunk finish some time ago back during the housewarming party. And now, this smaller version has been emptied by me as well. What am I to drink during late nights when I need a nice cooling alcoholic drink? :(

*sobs*

Note to self: Need to tell my sister to get more of it from where it came from. More as in MORE!!!! :x

And so, I have come to the end of today's entry. Xoxo

Breather

Every once in awhile, we require a breather to remind, relax and realise.

The Brutal Truth

Grit your teeth, and continue smiling

Everything in life requires tolerance. Yesterday, my tolerance got tested.

I can say that I have a high tolerance level and it truly takes alot to get on my nerves. In my line of work, tolerance is an essential criteria. Thankfully, most clients are patient. Even for those who are rushing for time, they are still rather polite, hence I willingly double my effort for them.

Yesterday, I met this female client who seriously got me so frustrated that I had to grit my teeth, force the sides of my lips to maintain upwards and triple my dosage of effort to ensure that the tone of my voice remains unchanged. The fact that it was peak-hour period and I had a whole line of customers waiting for me, with an additional side note that I was serving a minimum of 3 customers at one go; there was this lady who shamelessly demanded my full service. When I used the word "shamelessly", I seriously mean shamelessly. She wouldn't let me serve anyone else, and much less let anyone else approach me to ask for my help. If any other client came near me and tried making an effort to garner my attention, she would simply tell him/her that I was serving her and she would wave MY client away. I would have been totally understanding if she was rushing for time, but the thing is she wasn't.

She sent me flying around the whole place, and the phrase "give me a minute" doesn't seem to be able to get into her head. Well hello lady, I'm not superwoman. I can't do everything instantaneously. I don't have the size of every available clothing computerized into my head. And much less whether there is your husband's size for every pair of jeans or pants which he likes. She wanted everything NOW NOW NOW, like one nano-second after she made her demand (demand, not request okay!) and if I didn't give it to her, she made me feel inefficient. What's worst was SHE HUGGED ME. It wasn't a because-you-found-my-clothes-hence-I-am-so-happy-that-I-am-giving-you-a-hug kinda hug, if you are wondering. I can't tell you how... disgusted I felt. I wanted to make a run home, take a quick shower, put on some fresh clothes, then run back to work. No, don't be ridiculous. Of course I didn't do that. However, I WISH I COULD!

Boy oh boy, I couldn't be happier when she finally paid for the clothes and walked out of the store. I have never felt that way for any other customers. She is my first. And hopefully, my last. I seriously wonder how her husband tolerates her. Oh wait, his character is like hers, so it explains why the two of them are even married! I know because her husband was there, so yes, take pity on me. Double the frustration, double the annoyance, double my tolerance! As for my effort, times it by SIX, since for her alone it takes 3 times already.

I am gonna cross all my ten fingers and toes, and hope that I meet no more of such customers. TYVM.

I'm so exhausted. No joke working till 12 midnight every day. By the time I reach home, I can barely keep my eyes open long enough for me to wash up, brush my teeth and then doze off into wonderland. Oh well, at least I'm being kept occupied, so it gives me no time to think. The more I think, the more matured I'm gonna get, the older I'm gonna be. And someone already claims that I seem more like a 25 year-old, rather than just 18. *rolls eyes* I still wanna enjoy my teenage years okayyyyy. Growing older is no longer at the top of my list. It is somewhere near the bottom, but definitely not the base line. So yes, point stated.

Alright, need to hit my pillows now. Another long day later on. Still crossing all ten fingers and toes!

Vacation

May. Taiwan. Sisters. Love. Shopping. Eat. Hot Springs. Fun. CAN'T WAIT!

When I had nothing to do, all I ever wanted was to find something to do. Now that I've got something to do, all I ever want is to do nothing. Fortunately, I'm not enough of a slacker to really do nothing. I work my ass off alright. I'm a good girl.

Then again, yeah right. When have I ever actually been good? But no worries, I'll pretend to be one — a perfect little angel on the outside, a nasty little devil on the inside. Afterall, there are two sides to every coin.

Because I've got nothing else to do while waiting for a phone call

I promised Sin Hui that I would be a good girl and upload the pictures we took yesterday, so here goes...

I met her @ Vivo yesterday after her work, for dinner and some light shopping.

Earle Swensen's provided us with some awesome dinner!

Appetisers from the buffet salad bar. The pile of food on the plate comprises of: fresh lettuce and tomatoes dressed with Caesar salad sauce, croutons and crushed bacons; pasta with potato mayo; and lastly, spicy oriental mushrooms.

Soup of the day: Cream of corn and chicken Sausage.
I know that many of you will scrunch up your nose at the mention of 'corn', but it seriously taste better than how it sounds.

Her Fisherman's Catch

My Grilled Cajun Chicken

When we were trying on some clothes at Esprit, we decided to sneak a few shots while the fitting room was empty.

I got bored while waiting for her to come out of the fitting room.

Bored x2

We walked around F21, Topshop and Zara, and we managed to grab some goodies from F21!! It was getting late so we decided to go home. Sadly enough, I didn't see any shoes which were to my liking at Mondo :( I am in desperate need for more shoesssss. CNY is coming, and that is extremely good because it gives me more reasons to go shopping. Heh!

I'm meeting my girlfriend again tomorrow to accompany her for a job interview. She says that my presence is required to calm her nerves down or else she will screw up the interview. See the significance of my existence! *beams with pride*

A new year, hence a new start, thus a new beginning.

Here is a summary of what happened during the last week of December 2010.

Highlight of the last week: MY BIRTHDAY. (duh!)

In case you are wondering why happy birthday is written in chinese for my cake, the answer will be revealed later on.

My JC babes celebrated my birthday for me in advance on the 28th.

We went to the Kbox @ Cathay Cineleisure.

This is my favourite birthday present from the pile that they got me. I named the bear 'benny' and the small white rabbit 'patchy'. And for some unknown reason, I can't seem to stop shaking benny's head. Hold it, correction: currently I'm doing that to every soft toy which lands in my hand - shaking their heads from left to right. :X
It's mad fun and cute to see their heads shaking!!! I feel like Cruella de Vil when I do that. Muahahahahahaha!

Yes, I know I'm so sua ku to say this but.. THIS IS MY FIRST KINDERJOY!!! Given to me by Boo Xin Yi! :D

Then on the actual day itself (the 30th), I celebrated with my family (:

My lil brother, who isn't exactly 'little' anymore because he towers over me in height!!! :((

And here is the answer to why 'happy birthday' is written in chinese, because.. I was celebrating my birthday with my grandpa
I hearts this picture!

On New Year's Eve (31/12/2010), I went to Marina Bay with some friends for the countdown party.

While waiting for the fireworks show, we played cards from 7PM to 12 midnight.

A massive horde of people gathered there as well to catch the fireworks show. I have to admit that the fireworks was awesome, since we chose an excellent spot which was directly infront of the show, however, I doubt I would be having another countdown party at Marina Bay. Even if I would, at the end of this year, I'll make sure that the party would be held in one of the hotel rooms at MBS. Reasons? Unable to find any easy means of transportation home (ie. MRT or bus), getting squashed, pushed around and packed like a tin of sardines with everybody else who wants to go home after having watched the fireworks show, and most importantly, being held at the traffic junction outside the Singapore Recreational Club for over nearly half an hour by the local police force just so as to let the cars from SRC out of the parking lot. FML.
I'm never gonna do it again, even though it was truly magnificient!

Alright, I've come to the end of my summary. I know it's a tad late but oh well, better late than never rightttt? It's the new year (2011) already. While I was being held up outside SRC (reason stated above), Xianyao texted me asking me if I had any new year's resolution and this was my answer to him (some of you might have seen it on my fb page already):

My new year's resolution is that 2011 is going to be mad awesome, mad brilliant and mad magnificient.

I went through a helluva shit in 2010. So I deserve a mad awesome, mad brilliant and mad magnificient 2011. And believe me when I say that I am gonna make it happen. That day, Marc told me about this documentary called 'The Secret', which talks about the law of attraction. So I'm gonna make use of the law of attraction to get what I deserve.
2011, you are going to be on my list of 'Best Years of My Life'.

And now, I will end off with a picture of me which I think I look pretty in. HEHE!
