So you've heard about the Mint-themed outlet at Capitol Piazza, which took both the social media world and the F&B industry by storm.

People were willing to queue for HOURS just get into the café and have a taste of their famed Shibuya honey toast. Since then we have been waiting for a second Dazzling Café to be opened in Singapore, and have that long queue shortened (or at least I have oops!)

'Lo and behold, my our prayers have been answered because Dazzling Café Pink is now in operation and located in a much more popularised part of town, Orchard Gateway.

Interior of Dazzling Café Pink

The title of this café is a dead giveaway for the theme of the restaurant — pink is the focus of their design. The good thing about Dazzling Café is that their "pink" isn't slapped left right up and down into your face, like the "pink" from Hello Kitty Café.

It has been smartly rationed and matched with black so as to give off a cool and classy vibe, and also to appease the manly spirit of boyfriends/husbands who have lovingly agreed (and silently protested) to accompany their female counterparts to this establishment.

Merchandise section at Dazzling Café Pink

A section of the restaurant has been cut out to sell merchandise that have a partnership with Dazzling Café. The goods sold range from accessories to umbrellas and bags; it really depends on what is in season and would like to be sold.

So do drop a look at this section before heading home, because you might just discover a limited edition trinket that would soon be your new best-accessory-forever.

Dazzling Pink ($6)
Jasmine Green Tea, Lychee Syrup, Strawberry Syrup, Garnished with Strawberry, Lemon slices and Mint Leaf

But of course, Dazzling Cafe is not about merchandises. It is more about the food. So why not start off with a refreshing glass of Dazzling Pink. This drink is only available at this Dazzling Café outlet!

Rose Latte *with alcohol* ($8)
Infused with Bailey’s Irish Cream, topped with Dried Rose Petals

If you are in the mood for a hot cup of coffee, go for their Rose Latte instead. A tinge of Bailey's has been included so as to enhance the smooth richness of the coffee, but insufficient to render you intoxicated. (Do note that Rose Latte is also only available at this outlet)

If you would like a hot cup of tea, then go for my favourite Wedding Imperial Tea. The fragrance of the tea is unbelievable and it is sweet enough without adding any sugar.

Mentaiko Fries ($8.90)
Straight Cut Fries drizzled with Mentaiko Mayo and Chives

My current favourite hot snack at Dazzling Café. I used the word "current" as I have heard from the restaurant manager that their Cheesy Pulled Pork Nachos is even better, and it would have me converted!

Oreo Chocolate Honey Toast ($17.90)
Hazelnut Custard Cream, Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream, Honey Syrup, Caramelized Banana, Mint Leaf, Oreo Biscuit, Strawberry, Pistachio, Crushed Oreo

And of course, the highlight of this review... the famed Honey Thick Toasts. This one here is the Oreo Chocolate Honey Toast, made unique to Dazzling Café Pink.

Pandan Gula Melaka Honey Toast ($18.90)
Salted Gula Melaka Ice Cream, Custard, Condense Milk, Chocolate Sauce, Pandan Crumble, Crushed Peanut, Red Currant, Strawberry, Coffee Wafer Stick, Kaya Toast Cubes

This next one has also been made unique to Dazzling Café Pink, the Pandan Gula Melaka Honey Toast.

Rating: 4.2/5

My two cents:

Here is a quick review of the few dishes that I have tried at Dazzling Café Pink thus far.

The beverages were amazing, and I would have them all again anytime.

Dazzling Pink reminded me of Tweety Sweet Valentine, which was offered during the Sweety Tweety Valentine Special held earlier this year at Dazzling Cafe Mint, but it is a non-gassy version of that drink. I love the addition of the green tea as it was a brilliant base to this drink and held the other flavours beautifully.

The Rose Latte blew my mind away. I love the presentation, and I love the flavour as well. It was aptly sweet (probably to non-coffee drinkers like myself), incredibly smooth and the addition of the Bailey's enhanced the coffee flavour of the drink.

As for the Wedding Imperial Tea and Mentaiko Fries which were mentioned earlier on, read about them here as "SIX OF THE MUST-ORDER ITEMS" when at Dazzling Café.

As I ate the Oreo Chocolate Honey Toast, I felt comfort. The flavours were the classics that you couldn't resist – oreo with chocolate, banana and vanilla ice cream... Who could say no to all of that? It is a dessert that was simple in taste but ultimately complex to create. The caramelisation of the banana gave an added sweetness and crisp the whole dessert, not to mention the crushed oreo (for the oreo taste) and the pinch of pistachio to balance the flavours.

However when it comes to comparing the two Honey Toasts, I had a better connection with the Pandan Gula Melaka Honey Toast. It contained flavours familiar to an Asian and it was a well-execution of savoury and sweet. Plus I like the little surprise in my toast cube! I could dip that little toast cube in the ice cream and with all the sauces, pop it in my mouth and relish in the kaya that was oozing out.

So, the next time you pop by Dazzling Café Pink, quit looking at it just from the outside. Head in, grab a seat and order a Honey Toast. It might just be what you need to make your (to)day a tad more different from yesterday.
